Get ready to see more action at the 2018 Queensland Athletics State Half Marathon Championships.

The Start/Finish Line and Race Precinct for Brisbane’s Great South Run in 2018 is moving a short distance (400m) to Paradise Road Park. The 2018 festival will see all events take place wholly along the newly resurfaced and super fast IAAF-AIMS certified Paradise Road course. The new Start/Finish Line and Race Precinct are only a short 400m walk along the Sheep Station Gully path (which was part of the previous year’s course) and under the train bridge to Paradise Road Park.

The Queensland Athletics State Half Marathon Championships in 2018 will see record participants take part in Brisbane’s Great South Run. Moving the Half Marathon, 10km, 7km and 1km event starts to Paradise Road lets participants and supporters to see all of the action.

Participants, supporters, clubs and sponsors and are encouraged to set up a tent in Paradise Road Park on Saturday afternoon. Motor vehicle access to Paradise Road Park during this time on Saturday afternoon for tent drop off will be only via the north gate of Paradise Road (near Gardens Dr). Please note, the south gate of Paradise Road near Radius Dr will be closed.
